The Parish of English Bicknor
The Parish Council
The purpose of the Parish Council is to use the precept raised via Council Tax to try to ensure that everyday problems encountered in the village are discussed and hopefully resolved. It also undertakes projects in the village that will improve facilities and enhance the local community.
The Parish Council meets at 7.00pm in the Village Hall on the first Monday of alternate months. There are 7 Councillors and a part time Clerk.
Meetings are regularly attended by the local Police Community Support Officers and by the local District and County Councillors who give reports on issues affecting the Parish.
Parishioners are welcome to attend meetings either to listen to what is being discussed or to bring matters to the attention of the Council and speak during the public forum session at the beginning of each meeting.
